If you enjoy a beverage from time to time, keep your money out of the casino if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your evening bag, your money belt, and keep all cash, credit cards and checkbooks at home. Pack whatever money you intend to use on drinks, tipping and few dollars you anticipate to lose and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not by any means. Just realistic. You may well have a win after a drunken evening out with your friends and be blessed enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps table. Keep that account seeing that it’s as brief as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The two simply don’t mix.
Leaving your moola at home might be a little bit excessive, but defensive measures for excessive actions is necessary. If you play to profit, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you like to toss away your money without a worry, then drink all the gratuitous beer you are able to handle, but do not take plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of following losses after your inebriated self throws away every little thing!
